Welcome

Welcome to the Greening Chinnor campaign (GCC). Currently in its early stages the GCC aims to follow the principles and structure of the Greening Campaign which has been used in some 200 other communities to stimulate community engagement and action of a range of sustainability issues including energy, water, waste, transport and local food and services.  The greening campaign is similar in principles to the Transition Towns movement but works at a smaller scale.  We are in touch with both the High Wycome and the Haddenham Transition towns movements to share best practice and knowledge.

A key part of this is communication - so please tell your friends about this website.  If you use Twitter please follow @greeningchinnor for regular project updates and tips, knowledge and links on sustainability issues.

Why get involved?
  1. Improve sustainability of the local community in terms of resource use, local services and community links.
  2. Get support to help you reduce your own usage or energy, water etc and save money.
  3. Find out about new initiatives, products, grants or subsidies etc.
  4. Make friends.
